Professional Therapy for

It’s quite common when it comes to mental health services to assume they only apply to individuals, but this sort of emotional and mental therapy can be beneficial for larger groups of patients as well. South Coast Community Services is proud to announce the launch of a brand new mental health services program under our umbrella of services: individual, couple, and family therapy. Through this program, small and large families, as well as couples, can seek the advice of experienced mental health professionals and get an outside perspective on how to handle various conflicts.

My name is Amy, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in individual, couple, and family therapy. My experience encompasses more than 25 years of providing services in the mental health field. I am passionate about helping others and dedicated to bringing awareness to mental health needs. Life can bring many joys, but it can also bring challenges and struggles. Sometimes these challenges are overwhelming and impact different parts of our life such as our relationships and our self-care. Therapy can be a positive support to help you manage and work through your struggles to find hope, healing, and connection. Seeking help is a courageous step toward your healing. I would be honored to support you in this process. I believe in a "whole person" approach to utilize your strengths, help you gain control of your life, and regain balance. I am dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment. I use an eclectic approach that encompasses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Art and Play Therapy, Family Systems, and Solution-Focused Therapy techniques. I will work collaboratively with you to personalize your treatment to help you meet your mental health goals.

An Inside Look At

Our Therapy Process

Our family therapy is another form of mental health service that focuses on small groups of people as opposed to the individual. While our non-profit counseling experts often encourage open communication between individuals in a family, the overall goal is to strengthen relationships and promote better understanding between everyone involved. This area of our mental health services is designed to help develop and maintain healthy boundaries between family members, fiancés, and spouses. At South Coast Community Services, we focus on problem-solving and helping patients move through problem-solving steps in their interpersonal relationships.
