School-Based Mental Health Services

SCCS partners with school districts to provide a full continuum of behavioral health services that improve student well-being, reduce behavioral incidents, and help address absenteeism linked to mental health.
As an NPA-certified provider, our services span both general and special education and are IEP-compliant and aligned to MTSS frameworks.
Services are delivered across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 to meet students where they are and provide the appropriate level of support at the right time. Our approach integrates behavioral, mental health, and wellness services to support neurodiverse students, including those with autism, ADHD, and related developmental and behavioral needs, alongside existing supports.
Services include:
- Substance use prevention education (TK–12)
- Skill-building groups focused on decision-making & coping
- Wellness screenings and care coordination
- Staff training in de-escalation, suicide prevention & referral pathways
- Parent and community education on early identification
- 1:1 support from Wellness Coaches and Certified Wellness Coaches
Services include:
- Individual clinical interventions (6–12 weeks)
- Small-group support, including Seeking Safety, DBT skills, and motivational interviewing
- Substance use risk reduction and mindfulness groups
- On-demand risk assessment and crisis consultation
Family Wrap provides intensive, coordinated support for students with the highest levels of need—stabilizing behavior, maintaining educational placement, and aligning care across school, home, and community systems.
Services are delivered under IEP-affirmed authorizations to reduce escalation and prevent more restrictive placements.
We collaborate with SELPAs, school districts, and social service agencies to deliver educationally related mental health services that extend beyond the classroom.
This includes:
- Reinforcing school-based interventions
- Aligning therapeutic goals across providers
- Providing additional capacity for higher-need students
Effective support doesn’t stop at dismissal. Family Wrap ensures that strategies introduced at school carry into the home and daily life.

Susan was a mother of five when her husband was sentenced to a lengthy prison term, essentially making her a single parent. Then, she lost her job, she became distraught, and the family began showing signs of severe distress.
After a year in the wraparound program, in which Susan and her children were connected with community resources for counseling, academic tutoring, and transportation, they are intact, working hard, and taking small but definitive steps of progress – and, Susan recently expressed to her wraparound team how thankful she was because she could finally “see a light at the end of the tunnel.”
